Looking for a unique cooking experience in Corfu? Join us in the real taste of Greece experience and learn the secrets of the Greek cuisine.
We begin our guided tour at the open fruit and fish market, where we’ll buy fresh, organic ingredients harvested from Corfu’s fields just hours before.
Listen to local producers compete for your attention as we navigate the market’s narrow alleys, and enjoy the unmistakable scent of freshly caught fish, vegetables, fruit, and herbs. Don’t forget to try your hand at price negotiation (pazari) with the vendors!
Our next stop is a small shop for fresh dairy products, cheese, and traditionally baked bread, where we’ll stock up on supplies before heading to a country home. There, a chef will teach us how to prepare and cook traditional Greek recipes using the ingredients we’ve gathered. Upon arrival, we’ll welcome you with local delicacies, and you can choose to participate “hands-on” or simply watch the preparation before enjoying a delicious lunch together.
Before lunch, a walk in our family 200 y.o olive press ruins, and the olive oil tasting under the olive trees is highly appreciated. Learn everything about the olive oil, from cultivation to harvesting and of course try the extra virgin local olive oil.
We’ll even show you the almost-forgotten technique of cooking in a wood-fired oven, which has been used for centuries to create some of Greece’s most beloved dishes. All of our ingredients are locally sourced, organic, and fresh, and our cooking methods follow the traditional techniques of Greek mothers and grandmothers. Come experience the warm hospitality and family atmosphere that we’re known for in Greece, and create unforgettable memories with us!
